Thursday, April 27th

We finished off the presentation on the lyrics you have chosen, AND we read and discussed “Ozymandias” (14), and “A Poison Tree”(191).   With all the lines you have collected from your  classmates choices and from the poems we have read from the text, you categorized the lines and named the categories with a hashtag.  This was handed in at the end of class.  We will be using these lists next class.

Finish your own parody of “The Passionate Shepherd…” on any topic you like.  It must have:

  • six quatrains
  • aa,bb,cc,dd, etc. rhyme scheme
  • iambic tetrametre in each line
  • appropriate imagery
  • three literary devices such as: similes, metaphors, alliteration, allusions, etc.

This is due on Monday, May 1st.
